- I live in the small farming community of Stanwood, Washington. I worked eighteen years as a lunch lady at an elementary school. During that time, I also worked at a plant nursery. The last three years, I was annual buyer and greenhouse supervisor at Emery's Garden. I have four daughters, and four grandchildren, two horses (Ambush and Kelly), two miniature horses (Tuffy and Bucky), and I have a Jack-Russell Terrier named Sassy. I like to container garden, too. Since my birthday is on the cusp, I prefer the Scorpio sign. I was given that sign at birth. I feel I cannot upset my Karma.

Love those little old booklet things. You know, put cobwebs on a cut, and other sure fire cures. Of course many of them worked.

I suggested a Granny's Garage Sale Everything $1.00 Or Less to my mother - she loves to have yard sales - she laughed, said we wouldn't make any money, lol.

I'm so glad you stopped by on my blog, clara's cottage. I love all your finds from the garage sales. I also love going to yard sales. I've never heard of a Granny sale, but it sounds like fun.
