This is a log house called plank house. It is two roads over from me. It was built in 1886 and is all original on the outside but modernized (note the sky light) on the inside. It sits on 5 acres and to the left is a garage and shed (newer). I think it is neat.

That is my dream home! DH says KEEP dreaming! :) It is precious! You seem to have much more older buildings still around. We must tear ours down for "progress"
