Went Whidbey Island to visit my mother. she said she had some things for me.

This was one item. A 16x45 Battenburg table runner

A sampler of lace and embroidered doilies and antimacassers

A neat apron with lace at the bib and hem and on the pocket.
Some of the items in the box my mother had for me. Pretty nice, huh.
She also had some pictures of her parents, my grandparents, she will frame for me but I didn't get to see them as she had sent them to my sister-in-law for her to copy. I can't wait.

I love the runner and the apron!

It's always wonderful to get those treasures from the past.

MB,
Good stuff!! Did you know your Mom had these things? Was she hiding them ? What the heck is a "ANTIMACASSER"? I don't think I'am up on my linen text.So nice to see the pictures, because as you can see its almost midnight and I can't sleep. So now maybe I can. Lets see the picture of your Grand parents when you get that too. How far does your Mom live from you? Whidbey Island looks like a neat place. I need to lay down now.

How nice of your mother to save these treasures for you!! They are all so beautiful, better yet knowing they were your grandmothers.
