I found a few thing in my travels the past few weeks. The little mustard jar I got from my mother. It belonged to her mother and she thinks it might have been a wedding gift to her mother and father. Also the Rose teapot was my Grandmothers.
The pitcher or vase I saw and since I love butterflys I just HAD to have it. It is a Franz. (Whatever that means.) The other Dandelion vase is very special to me and it is a Limoges (?) from France.

Hi MB,
You got some real pretties there. Family things are always great to get. Now you have found some things from across the BIG pond. France, no less. That is a really pretty piece.
Did you get over your fear of spending to much at the thrift and leaving a handmade quilt there? I know, there are ups and down to thrifting. One day you don't need another thing, and the next day the car is full. I can't figure it out either. No one said thrifting is easy.

very pretty pieces.always like seeing what you find.
Those are just gorgeous, MaryBeth. I am partial to that butterfly pitcher too! I would have snapped it up. Good work!

I love the pitcher and vase that you thrifted, especially the Limoges one. From what I know, Limoges is a region in France that used to have many, many porcelain factories. So you'll see lots of china, vases, etc., with that name on it, but not necessarily from the same maker. Also, in Victorian times, it was very popular for young ladies to handpaint on 'blanks' from Limoges, France. So you may have a handpainted vase done in the US -- look to see if the artist/painter's name is signed onto the piece somewhere.
Good finds! Glad you're having fun thrifting.
Oh, love the dandelion vase!! What beautiful colors!! All your treasures are wonderful!!! I saw a couple of quilts I could have easily snapped up today, but I resisted!!! I figure if I would get making them for all the beds in the house it would be much more satisfactory....but then again the vintage fabric calls my name!!! BONNIE!!!!
Treasures are forever! I Likey! Nice work.
I found you thru the Beehive Cottage and I just HAD to write to tell you the Butterfly vase is a fabulous find. I love it!!
I love seeing your collections. :-)
I'm (FINALLY!!!) visiting and posting once again. Good to be here and catch up.
And no, I have not forgotten about Bruton Parish church, just have not had the time. :-(
